Broadleaf Professional Ltd is committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. We recognise that modern slavery and human trafficking can exist in any business or supply chain, and we are committed to preventing them in our own operations and relationships. This statement is published to support our compliance and framework obligations and to set out the steps we take to identify, reduce and address risk.
1. Our business and structure
Broadleaf Professional Ltd is a professional services business operating in the UK. Our business supports housing providers, public-sector organisations and related stakeholders with consultancy and income analytics services. Our leadership is carried by the directors and staff team, supported by clear governance and internal processes.
2. Our policies
We are committed to conducting our business ethically and with integrity. This includes:
- prohibiting forced labour, trafficking, and exploitation;
- requiring fair and lawful employment practices;
- supporting freedom of movement and workers’ rights in line with UK law; and
- encouraging all employees and contractors to raise concerns without fear of retaliation.
3. Supply chains and risk
Our direct supply chains are limited and mainly relate to professional services, digital tools, office support, and related business services. We assess the risk of modern slavery in our operations as low to moderate, but we recognise that risks can arise in any supply chain, including in outsourced services and third-party technology providers.
4. Due diligence
We carry out reasonable checks on new suppliers and contractors, including confirming their business legitimacy and understanding their compliance with relevant employment and ethical standards. We review arrangements with suppliers where we consider the risk profile to be higher or where services are provided to us from outside the UK.
5. Training and awareness
We ensure that our directors and employees are aware of the risks of modern slavery and understand that any concerns should be raised promptly. We expect all employees and contractors to act with honesty, respect and integrity and to report any suspicious practices or incidents.
6. Reporting concerns
We encourage any employee, worker, contractor or stakeholder to raise concerns about suspected modern slavery, forced labour or exploitation. Concerns can be raised directly to the directors. We will review any concerns seriously and take appropriate action, including escalating to relevant authorities where required.
